Forklift Truck Operator Safety Training Program

The industrial Safety Training Services forklift safety training program covers all of the guidelines required by OSHA pertaining to powered industrial truck operator safety training, specifically OSHA final rule 1910.178 class 1-5 and 7 trucks.

  15. Other safety characteristics for the specific type of truck used

  16. Floor and ground conditions, ramps and inclines - with and without a load

  17. Trailers, railcars and docks including safe crossing of railroad tracks

  18. Use of classified trucks in hazardous areas

  19. Operation in limited clearance areas and use near pedestrians and other vehicles

  20. Use capacity of elevators

  21. Operation near dock edges and drop offs

  22. Lock out Tag out procedures

  23. Load handling techniques including lifting, lowering, tilting, picking up and placing loads

  24. Traveling with and without loads

  25. Shut down procedures

  26. Operational training
